Chiptuning

Adaptive Automotive uses extensively tested performance software for chip tuning, specially designed for diesel and petrol vehicles. Chip tuning, also called OBD tuning or ECU tuning, means that you release the extra power limited by the manufacturer. Your car actually already has this power, we just release it!

To serve you even better, we have divided the possible upgrades into different stages, so you can choose which stage suits you best. Below you will find an overview of the different stages and what they entail.

Stage 1
Remapping

Stage 1 consists of an individual remapping of the vehicle's engine management system, where the adjustment of the engine parameters (ignition, injection, etc.) is customized on the dynamometer. All values of the engine parameters remain within the safety standards set by the manufacturer. This stage 1 is therefore 100% reliable, in short, more driving pleasure without worries!

Stage 2
Remapping and intake/exhaust optimization

For those who want a little more than stage 1, we have a stage 2 that involves optimizing some elements around the engine to increase its efficiency. This primarily involves the intake and exhaust. Many intake systems are very restrictive due to their anti-resonance construction, which is intended to dampen the engine intake noise. By installing a sports air filter or modified intake, more air can flow to the engine, resulting in a significant power increase. Since stage 2 sometimes exceeds the manufacturer's safety standards, certain components such as the clutch often need to be reinforced. Each stage indicates which parts are replaced.

Stage 3
New engine parts

With stage 3, we go even further by replacing the internal or vital parts of the engine or turbocharger. This can range from increasing the cylinder capacity to installing sport camshafts or a larger turbocharger. There are sometimes risks involved in terms of reliability, but not always. Manufacturers often use a single base engine block and can create two power versions by using a larger turbocharger and injectors. It goes without saying that in some cases, you can upgrade your engine with original parts from the higher-powered version without affecting reliability, as the engine block was already designed for it by the manufacturer. ECO tuning is an individual remapping of the vehicle's engine management system. The adjustment of the engine parameters (ignition, injection, etc.) is customized on the dynamometer.

What is the chiptuning process at Adaptive Automotive like?

  1. Test drive to analyze the car's behavior
  2. Read out the car to check for error messages and assess its condition
  3. Custom software reprogramming on the car's ECU
  4. Test drive to create log files of the car
  5. Final check of log files by a certified engineer
  6. Engine values within safe margins, "tuning approved"
  7. If engine values are not within safe margins, the software is adjusted by the engineer and the process starts again until the best result is achieved.

Why choose chiptuning at Adaptive Automotive?

Adaptive Automotive delivers the highest quality without using a dynamometer. How do we do this? Adaptive Automotive collaborates with the largest chiptuning software supplier in Europe, ensuring that more than 10,000 cars are tuned each year with the highest quality standards. Below is the chiptuning process.

We offer Stage 1, 2, 3, and ECO tuning
An external tuning box is also possible

Adaptive Automotive Tuning Box

If you have a new car or a leased car, a tuning box, also known as bypass chiptuning, may be the best solution for you. In recent years, the number of users has been growing because OBD chiptuning in the ECU is sometimes no longer possible due to manufacturer security measures. This is because it leaves clear traces of tampering, and brand dealers such as Volkswagen, BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Porsche, Seat, and Skoda can detect chiptuning during vehicle maintenance. The Adaptive Automotive tuning box is particularly popular among lease drivers or cars still under warranty. Our tuning box is software undetectable.

You can use our car search function to see if a tuning box is available for your car. If your car is not listed, please contact us.
