As far as we are concerned, custom chiptuning is analyzing and reading data from the ECU via OBD of the car on the test bench. After this analysis, a proper software adjustment can be made. We hear it often. Is chiptuning safe? Yes, but beware there are many providers when it comes to chiptuning and so there are also many differences in quality. However, at Adaptive Automotive we think it's important that you as a customer can enjoy this for a long time. This means that we cooperate with one of the largest software suppliers whereby a test bench and several engineers carefully develop the software. This results in a safe and optimal power gain (HP) and torque gain (NM).

Through our configurator you will quickly find out how many HP and NM you can get out of your car through chiptuning and so you will immediately see our all-in price. After receiving the order, we plan the car and start working on it.

We start with a test drive. This means that we briefly go on public roads to analyze the car.

Then we will read out the original values of the car. This can be done in different ways via OBD, Bench or Bootmode and is different for each type of car. For this, we must first find out which engine control unit is in the car so that we know how to read the ECU. Once we have read the original data or file we send it to our approved engineers.

These engineers send us back the modified tuned file. They have developed this file on a similar car on the test bench and therefore we know what power gain can be achieved. This power gain PK/NM can be found in our tuning configurator.
As the penultimate step, we program this file again via ODB, Bench or Bootmode.

Finally, we test drive and datalog the data from various important actuators and sensors in the engine via a laptop. We send this data to the engineers and he verifies if the chiptuning is good and safe. If it is not good and safe then the file is adjusted until it is good and safe. Once the data is good, the car can be delivered.

Chiptuning will in theory make the car more economical, but in practice this is often disappointing. Not to worry, for this we can offer a special ECO Tuning in most cases. This just provides more torque (Nm), and activation of a speed limiter resulting in a more economical car. This does sacrifice some of the driving pleasure.
